Religious School Positions Available for 2019-2020

The Religious School is seeking to fill three positions on our staff for the 2019-2020 school year.

Youth Advisor:

Do you love working with tweens and/or teens? We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Advisor with excellent communication and organizational skills to lead our USY and Kadima chapters. The position runs from mid-August 2019 through mid-June 2020.

Responsibilities for the USY position include working with a student board, providing guidance while nurturing student leadership and initiative; planning with the teens a schedule of social and community service activities that will attract the congregation’s teens; working to develop social events with other area USY chapters; promoting and marketing chapter and regional events; and serving as a chaperone to regional USY events.

Responsibilities for the Kadima position including planning social and community service activities; working with other area Kadima chapters to plan joint events; promoting and marketing chapter and regional events; and serving as a chaperone to regional Kadima events.

This position can be shared between two people with one serving as the Kadima Advisor and the other as the USY Advisor.

Conversational Hebrew Teacher:

Can you speak Hebrew? We areseeking a teacher for a beginning conversational Hebrew class for teens in our N’tivot program. The course meets for eight one-hour sessions September through November from 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Candidates will be able to speak Hebrew fluently and share their enthusiasm for the language with our teens. Good communication skills and ability to relate to teens are a must! Teaching experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
